Save TikTok videos without the watermark, in HD MP4. Free, no app, no signup, on any device.
A TikTok video downloader without the watermark
SnapSave is a free TikTok video downloader that saves clips as clean MP4s, with no watermark and no TikTok logo. Paste a TikTok link into the box at the top of this page, pick a quality up to Full HD, and the download starts. No app, no account, and nothing stamped across your video.
People open a video downloader for everyday reasons: keeping a clip to watch offline, saving a video before the creator takes it down, or filing a how-to away for later. The catch with TikTok is the watermark, the bouncing TikTok logo and the @username burned into anything you save from the app itself. SnapSave reads the TikTok link you paste and hands back the original MP4 without that overlay.
TikTok streams its videos, so a plain long-press saves a watermarked, lower-quality copy at best. SnapSave fetches the clean source straight from TikTok’s own servers and gives it to you as a ready MP4, to repost, edit, or simply keep. It works only with public TikTok videos. Use it to save your own clips, content in the public domain, or other public videos you have the right to keep.
How to download a TikTok video in three steps
From a link to a saved, watermark-free file in well under a minute, no software to install and no sign-up.
Copy the TikTok video link
In the TikTok app, tap Share on the video and choose Copy link. On the web, copy the URL straight from your browser’s address bar.
Paste it into SnapSave
Drop the link into the box at the top of this page and press Download. SnapSave reads the post and lists every quality it can give you.
Choose a quality and save
Pick the clean, no-watermark MP4 in the resolution you want, up to Full HD. The file saves straight to your phone or computer.
Every kind of TikTok post you can save
One box reads the link and works out what’s inside, a video, a photo slideshow, a Story, or just the sound, then offers the right download for it.
Videos & slideshows
Save ordinary TikTok videos as clean MP4s, and pull photo-mode slideshows down as their original images, with no bouncing logo and no @username burned in.
Stories before they vanish
Save a TikTok Story’s video or photo while it’s still live, clean and watermark-free, before the 24-hour window closes and it’s gone.
Sound & music as MP3
Only after the audio? Lift the sound from a TikTok clip as an MP3, handy for voiceovers and original sounds you have the right to use.
We don’t log your links or keep your videos
Plenty of TikTok downloaders quietly keep a record of every link that’s pasted into them. SnapSave doesn’t work that way. There’s no account to sign into, no list of what you’ve saved, and no copy of your file left sitting on a server.
When you paste a TikTok link, SnapSave pulls the video from TikTok’s own servers and passes it to your device. The link only lives long enough to prepare the download, then it’s gone, no upload step, nothing parked on a disk, and no log with your name attached.
Supported TikTok formats and resolutions
What goes up is what comes back down, no re-encoding, no shrinking, and never a watermark added.
| Source on TikTok | What SnapSave gives you | Quality |
|---|---|---|
| TikTok video | MP4 (H.264 / AAC), no watermark | Up to source, HD / Full HD |
| Photo slideshow | JPG images, no watermark | Original |
| TikTok Story | MP4 (video) or JPG (photo) | Original |
| Sound from a video | MP3 | Pulled from the clip’s audio |
Get a clean TikTok download every time
Most downloads work first try. A few small habits sort out the ones that don’t.
Copy the link from the Share button
Open the video, tap Share → Copy link. On the web, copy the URL from the address bar. A short vt.tiktok.com or vm.tiktok.com link works just as well as the full one.
The watermark is gone, by design
SnapSave fetches the source file TikTok stores before the app burns in the moving logo and @username, so your MP4 comes out clean. That’s the whole point of using it.
HD depends on the original upload
SnapSave always offers the sharpest version TikTok holds, but it can’t go past what the creator uploaded. If the source clip is 720p, then 720p is the ceiling, no tool can add detail that was never there.
SnapSave only works with public videos
The downloader fetches videos that are public on TikTok. If a clip is private or friends-only, SnapSave can’t open it, by design. Stick to public videos, slideshows and Stories.
If a download stalls, refresh and retry
A dropped connection happens. Reload the page, paste the link again, and most stalled downloads finish on the second go. Nothing half-finished is kept, so a retry is always safe.
What makes SnapSave a better TikTok video downloader
One tool for every TikTok post type, at full quality, with no account and no record of what you save.
Every TikTok post type
Videos, photo slideshows, Stories and sound from one box, not the video-only trick most TikTok downloaders settle for.
No watermark, original quality
Your file comes back the way it was posted, no bouncing logo, no username, no resize and no re-encode. Just the clean MP4.
Full HD with the sound intact
SnapSave grabs the top resolution TikTok stored and keeps the audio in step, so your download plays exactly like the original.
Free, unlimited, no sign-up
No daily limit, no email, no locked features and no account. Save one clip or fifty, the TikTok downloader stays free.
Works on every device
iPhone, iPad, Android, Windows, Mac, Linux and Chromebook, any modern browser, with no app and no extension to maintain.
Handles slideshows too
Photo-mode posts, long videos and Stories, the cases where lighter TikTok tools tend to give up or hand back only the first frame.
How to download TikTok videos on any device
The routine is the same everywhere, copy, paste, download. Only the place the file lands changes.
iPhone & iPad iOS
Tap Share → Copy link in the TikTok app, open SnapSave in Safari, paste, and download. The file saves to Files → Downloads. To move a clip into your camera roll, open it in Files, tap share, and choose Save Video.
Android Chrome
Tap Share → Copy link, open SnapSave in Chrome, paste, and tap download. The file shows up in your Downloads notification and folder, and most gallery apps pick it up on their own.
Windows PC
Open the video on tiktok.com, copy the URL from the address bar, paste it into SnapSave, and click download. The file lands in your default Downloads folder, usually C:UsersYourNameDownloads.
Mac macOS
Same as Windows, copy the URL, paste, download. The MP4 saves to ~/Downloads, and SnapSave works in Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Brave and Arc.
Chromebook & Linux
Identical steps: open the video, copy, paste, download. Files save to your Downloads folder and show up in the Files app on Chromebook or your file manager on Linux.

What SnapSave won’t do
A downloader should be a handy tool, not a way around someone’s rights. A few things stay off the table on purpose.
Touch private or friends-only videos
SnapSave only fetches videos that are public on TikTok. If a clip is private or limited to friends, it stays off-limits. Getting around access controls is what harms creators and gets downloaders blocked.
Bulk-rip whole profiles
Each download is one paste of one public video. SnapSave isn’t an account scraper and won’t be bent into one.
Hold on to your downloads
The file travels from TikTok to your device. Nothing stays with us, so there’s nothing to “delete later”, it was never kept.
Ask for your TikTok password
SnapSave never needs your login or your account. If a TikTok downloader wants you to sign in, close the tab.
Add tracking or a watermark
The MP4 or MP3 you save is the original media as TikTok stored it, nothing added, nothing altered, and certainly no SnapSave stamp.
Help you reuse content you don’t own
Saving someone else’s video, slideshow or sound to republish or sell, without permission, isn’t what this is for. Many TikTok sounds are licensed music, keep it to your own clips, public-domain content, or media you’re allowed to save.
TikTok video downloader, frequently asked questions
Is SnapSave free to use?
Yes. SnapSave is a free TikTok video downloader with unlimited downloads, no signup, no email, no premium tier and no daily cap. A few light ads keep the service going.
Do I need an app or to sign in?
Neither. SnapSave runs in your web browser, so there’s no app, no extension and no software to install, and it never asks for your TikTok login.
How does SnapSave remove the TikTok watermark?
It fetches the source file TikTok stores before the app burns in the moving logo and @username. Because that overlay is added when you save through TikTok itself, pulling the clean source means your MP4 comes out without it.
Is it legal to download TikTok videos?
It depends on the video. Saving content you created, clips in the public domain, or videos you have the owner’s permission to download is generally fine. Downloading or re-sharing someone else’s copyrighted video or sound without permission is not, and SnapSave isn’t meant for that. You’re responsible for respecting copyright, the creator’s rights and TikTok’s Terms of Service.
Can I download TikToks in HD?
Yes, up to whatever the creator uploaded. SnapSave offers the highest resolution that particular video has and keeps the audio in sync, so the download plays just like the original.
What format do downloads come in?
Videos save as standard MP4 (H.264 video, AAC audio), which plays on every device and in every editor, CapCut, Premiere, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve. Photo slideshows save as JPG images, and you can save just the audio as MP3.
Can I download a TikTok photo slideshow?
Yes. Paste a photo-mode link and SnapSave saves the original images without a watermark. For that specific job there’s a dedicated TikTok slideshow downloader.
Can I save a TikTok Story or just the sound?
Yes. Use the TikTok Story downloader to save a Story before it expires, and the TikTok to MP3 tool to lift a clip’s audio, for original sounds and audio you have the right to use.
Can SnapSave download private TikTok videos?
No. SnapSave only downloads public TikTok videos. Private and friends-only clips, and anything that needs a login to view, aren’t supported, by design.
How do I download a TikTok on iPhone?
Tap Share → Copy link in the TikTok app, open SnapSave in Safari, paste, and save. The file goes to Files → Downloads; for some videos the free Documents app by Readdle makes saving smoother.
How do I download a TikTok on Android?
Tap Share → Copy link, open SnapSave in Chrome, paste, and tap download. The file lands in your Downloads folder or Gallery.
Where do my downloads go?
On iPhone and iPad, Files → Downloads. On Android, your Downloads folder. On Windows, C:UsersYourNameDownloads. On Mac, Linux and Chromebook, ~/Downloads.
Does SnapSave add its own watermark?
No. You get the original media from TikTok as it was posted, no TikTok overlay, no logo and no SnapSave branding.
Does SnapSave keep a download history?
No. There are no accounts and no history. Your link is used only to fetch the file, and nothing about your download is stored on our side.
