A Facebook to MP3 converter that keeps just the audio

SnapSave is a free Facebook to MP3 converter that pulls the audio out of a public Facebook video. Paste a public Facebook video link into the box at the top of this page and SnapSave gives you the sound on its own as an MP3, ready to listen to offline. No app, no account, no watermark.

Sometimes you only want the audio, a talk, an interview, a lecture, the sound from a clip you made, or a public-domain track. SnapSave reads the Facebook link you paste, extracts the audio, and hands you a clean MP3 you can play on any device. It works with public Facebook videos, the ones anyone can open without logging in.

It’s built for personal use. Convert the audio of your own videos, public-domain content, or videos you have permission to use, and please respect music copyright, don’t download and re-share songs or audio you don’t own the rights to. If you want the full clip instead of the sound, the Facebook video downloader saves the complete MP4.

How it works

How to convert a Facebook video to MP3 in three steps

From the video link to an MP3 in under a minute, with nothing to install and no sign-up.

Step 01

Copy the Facebook video link

Under the video, tap Share and choose Copy link. On a computer, copy the URL from your browser’s address bar.

Step 02

Paste it into SnapSave

Drop the link into the box at the top of this page and press Download. SnapSave reads the video and prepares the audio.

Step 03

Download the MP3

Choose the MP3 option and the audio saves straight to your device, ready to play anywhere.

What you can convert

Turn any public Facebook video into an MP3

The audio from a post, a Watch show, a Reel or a Story, on its own.

Any Facebook video to MP3

Paste a normal Facebook video and keep just the sound as an MP3, handy when the picture isn’t the part you want.

Talks & shows to MP3

Pull the audio from a Facebook Watch talk, interview or show so you can listen like a podcast on the go.

Reels & Story audio

Grab the sound from a Facebook Reel or Story video as an MP3, or save the full clip with the matching tools.

Private by design

We don’t log your links or keep your files

SnapSave has no account to sign into, no history of what you’ve converted, and no copy of your MP3 left on a server. The Facebook to MP3 converter is anonymous to use.

Your link is read from Facebook’s own servers and the audio is handed to your device, then it’s gone. No upload step, nothing parked on a disk, and no log tied to you.

No account, no history, no stored files. Your link is used only to prepare the audio and is discarded the moment the download completes.

Formats & quality

Facebook to MP3 output and quality

The audio comes out at the quality it went in, with nothing re-recorded and never a watermark added.

Source on Facebook What SnapSave gives you Quality
Facebook video / Watch MP3 (audio only) Up to the source audio
Long video or show MP3, full length Full source audio
Reel or Story video MP3 Original sound
Want the video too, not just the sound? Use the Facebook video downloader for the full MP4.

Tips

Get a clean MP3 every time

Most conversions work first try. A couple of habits help with the rest.

Copy the link from the video itself

Use Share → Copy link on the Facebook video. A link from a notification or a forwarded message can redirect and won’t resolve.

Audio quality follows the source

The MP3 is only as clear as the sound in the original video. A low-quality clip can’t be sharpened into hi-fi audio, no tool can add detail that was never there.

Respect music copyright

Converting a talk you can use, your own video, or public-domain audio is fine. Don’t pull copyrighted songs or music to re-share, that’s not what this is for.

If it stalls, refresh and retry

A dropped connection happens. Reload the page, paste the link again, and most conversions finish on the second go. Nothing half-finished is kept, so a retry is always safe.

SnapSave only works with public videos

The converter reads videos that are public on Facebook. If a post is private, restricted, or needs a login to view, SnapSave can’t open it, by design. Stick to public posts, Pages, Reels and Watch clips.

Why SnapSave

A better Facebook to MP3 converter

Just the audio, at the original quality, with no account and no record of what you save.

Audio only, smaller files

You get a light MP3 instead of a full video, easy to store and quick to share.

Keeps the original sound

No re-recording or extra compression beyond turning the source audio into MP3.

Works on long videos

A full talk or show converts end to end, not just the first minute, the cases where lighter tools tend to give up.

Free, with no sign-up

No account, no email, no daily limit. Convert as many public videos as you like.

Works on every device

iPhone, iPad, Android, Windows, Mac, Linux and Chromebook, in any modern browser, with no app to maintain.

Private to use

No record of the audio you save, and never a request for your Facebook login.

Step by step

How to save a Facebook MP3 on any device

The routine is the same everywhere, copy, paste, download. Only the place the file lands changes.

iPhone & iPad iOS

Copy the video link, open SnapSave in Safari, paste, and download. The MP3 saves to Files → Downloads, ready for your music app.

Android Chrome

Copy the link, open SnapSave in Chrome, paste, and tap download. The MP3 lands in your Downloads folder and most music players find it.

Windows PC

Paste the video link into SnapSave and click download. The MP3 saves to your default Downloads folder, usually C:UsersYourNameDownloads.

Mac macOS

Same flow, copy, paste, download. The MP3 saves to ~/Downloads, and SnapSave works in Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Brave and Arc.

Chromebook & Linux

Identical steps: open the post, copy, paste, download. The MP3 saves to your Downloads folder and shows up in the Files app on Chromebook or your file manager on Linux.

Where we draw the line

What SnapSave won’t do

Public videos only, and a few things stay off the table on purpose.

Convert private or restricted videos

SnapSave only reads videos that are public on Facebook. Anything behind a login or a restriction stays off-limits. Getting around access controls is what harms creators and gets tools blocked.

Be a music piracy tool

This is for talks, your own audio and public-domain content, not for ripping copyrighted songs to re-share. Respect the rights of artists and creators.

Keep your files

The MP3 goes from Facebook to your device. Nothing stays with us, so there’s nothing to “delete later”, it was never kept.

Ask for your Facebook password

SnapSave never needs your login or your account. If a Facebook tool wants you to sign in, close the tab.

Add tags or tracking

The MP3 you save is the original audio from the video, with nothing extra inserted and nothing altered.

Help you reuse audio you don’t own

Keep it to your own content, public-domain audio, or sound you have permission to use. Saving someone else’s audio to republish or sell, without permission, isn’t what this is for.
